Strip of bobbin lace with tendrils curling into circles with peonies

Strip of natural-colored Dutch bobbin lace. The pattern consists of two vines curling into circles each with a peony in the center. The two linked circles are flanked on the left and right by a larger peony. Of one of the larger peonies only a part is visible because the strip is cut off here. Also along the top edge where the motif with the curling vines seems to repeat, the pattern is broken. The motifs are connected by a very sparingly used fine mesh ground, with meshes of different dimensions. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges. Top and bottom edges are straight finished, with picots on the bottom edge.
