About this work
Round kettle with a broad base and tapering obliquely upwards. The wall is six-lobed by constrictions. The handle is S-shaped and worked. The lid is decorated with leaf motifs and the knob of the lid has the shape of a flower bud. The kettle is marked: maker's mark = Amsterdam, maker = attributed to Frederik van Strant I, and an axe.
