About this work
Cast-iron fireback with a semicircular top. In the center is an empty central field. The whole is framed by a border decorated with festoons on each side. At the top, two putti lifting a crown between them. The left putto carries an olive branch, the right a scepter. At the bottom, a ribbon with the inscription: ANNO 1695. Marked in the corners with the initials NL.
