Napkin with a hunting scene

Linen damask napkin with a hunting scene. Central field: the asymmetrical pattern shows one scene with a boar hunt. Centrally, a boar moving to the right surrounded by a hunter on horseback facing right at the top, with a lowered hunting spear (dressed in justaucorps, boots, wide-brimmed and buckled hat, and wig), a hunter to the left and right of the boar, and two hunters with muskets at the bottom. Between them, trees, and below them a fox, a roe deer, hares, and rabbits. At the top, a view of a hamlet and a forest, in which a stag pursued by dogs, and to the left and right of a tree trunk a squirrel. Standing and lying borders: symmetrical floral and leaf palmettes framed by a plain band with small rosettes; outside this, a block border. Corners: a stylized flower.
