Strip of Gold and Silver Lace with Interlacing Vines

Bobbin-laced gold and silver lace strip. The pattern consists of a continuous wavy vine with a flower of seven lobes before and after each wave crest, made in gold thread. This golden vine is crossed by a wavy silver vine, with which a stringing together of a circular, a lobed and a more or less oval motif is attached. Alternately, a gold-colored oval center and an angular silver-colored center are made in the center of the lobed motif. The motifs are mainly made in form stitch and linen stitch, with thicker contour threads and braided contour lines. The top and bottom sides of the strip are finished straight, with few picots.
