About this work
Strip of bobbin lace, gold lace. The symmetrical pattern consists of a V-shape with fans and circles, largely connected by leaves worked in form stitch and along the upper edge with an eyelet ground. Worked with gold lamé thread, smooth filé thread, and ribbed filé thread, in various thicknesses. The lace was made for use in upholstery.
