Strip of gold lace with a V-shaped cross

Strip of bobbin lace, gold lace. The symmetrical pattern consists of a wide spreading V-shape with a small cross in the middle crowned by an arch and above that on both sides two loose inverted arches. Hanging from the V-shape are two arches, with on the left and right a configuration of several small squares. Along the scalloped underside runs a series of pointed ovals. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, an eyelet ground. And they are largely made in buttonhole stitch, with contour lines consisting of three adjacent thicker threads. The top side is finished straight.
