About this work

Strip of natural-coloured needle lace with a repetitive motif of flowers and leaves. A branching vine with two large peonies covering the full width of the strip, as well as roses on vines with relatively large leaves. Hexagonal mesh ground and a variety of grounds. Upper edge edged with a border of bobbin lace. No separate pattern for the lower border; the scalloped edge forms from the motif of flowers and leaves. Alençon lace.
