About this work

Coffee pot with lid of porcelain on a high, spreading foot, egg-shaped body, short, S-shaped spout and high C-shaped handle, painted on the glaze in green, black and gold. Decorated on the shoulder with a band with on one side grapevines and on the other side flowers and leaves. On the neck and on the lid a leaf scroll. Gold lines on the foot, shoulder and rim. The handle ends in a monster head, the spout in a lion's head where the opening forms the mouth of the head. Pointed finial. Marked on the underside with the crossed arrows and GN.
