About this work
Teapot of porcelain on a high, spreading foot, S-shaped spout and C-shaped handle, painted on the glaze in green, black and gold. Decorated on the belly with a band with on one side grapevines and on the other side flowers and leaves. On the shoulder a leaf scroll. Golden lines on the foot and rim. The spout and the handle both end in a monster head. At the spout the opening forms the beak of the head. Marked on the underside with crossed arrows.
