About this work
Teapot with lid of porcelain on a high, spreading foot, S-shaped spout and C-shaped handle, painted on the glaze in green, black and gold. Decorated with a band with on one side grapevines and on the other side flowers and leaves. On the shoulder of the teapot and on the lid a leaf scroll. Gold lines on the foot and rim. The spout and handle both end in a monster head. At the spout the opening forms the mouth of the head. Pointed finial. Marked on the underside with the crossed arrows.
