Strip of natural-coloured needle lace: Alençon lace. Scatter motif with three rows of always a star-shaped flower alternated with a picot, on a fine hexagonal mesh ground. The pattern at the lower side of the strip consists of arches with underneath a lanceolate leaf, filled with an ornamental ground. The lanceolate leaves are linked together with a star-shaped flower. Between the arches a bunch-shaped flower sticks upwards. The lower side is finished with an arch border by a linking of four circular cords with therein a wheel picot. Always between the four small circles a horizontal curl filled with an ornamental ground. The upper side is edged with a border of bobbin lace.
