Stola of black bobbin lace with four oval medallions within a rectangular border

Stole of black bobbin lace: Chantilly lace. Long rectangular model. The symmetrical pattern consists of a rectangular decorative frame around the stole, within which lie four oval medallions. Each medallion has four oval knots and a scalloped inner edge. In each medallion a rose branch. In the fields between the medallions and in the lengthwise direction of the stole an elongated rose branch with two larger roses at the bottom and three hanging larger leaves. In the middle field a mirrored rose in the center from which a rosette flower sticks and leaf branches with flower buds or berries. The rectangular decorative frame is straight on the outside and lined on the inside with long cut leaves, interrupted by a star. The outer edge consists of a linking of rosettes and forget-me-nots, which is interrupted at each medallion by an oval knot with fan motif. The motifs are made in net stitch and provided with thicker contour threads that are bobbin-woven.
