About this work

Ebony chair with a seat of woven rattan. The furniture rests on splayed legs with houses, connected at the bottom by splayed rails. The seat rails are profiled. The flat straight backrest has a splayed top and bottom rail, placed between houses, connected by six splayed stiles. The stiles of the backrest are crowned with carved finials. The houses above the front legs are provided with a semi-circular ball.
