About this work

Round butter dish of polychrome painted faience, with a lid and Kakiemon decoration. The lid has a gilded, recumbent cow as a knob. The butter dish is painted in the moffel colors blue, red, green, black and gold with two bound hedges, a flowering tree, a bird on a branch and loose birds. The butter dish is marked and there is an identical copy of the butter dish with inventory no. BK-1968-199-b.
