About this work
Lid of a butter dish of polychrome painted faience, with Kakiemon decoration. The lid has a gilded recumbent cow as a finial. The parts are painted in the moffel colors blue, red, green, black, and gold with two hedges, a flowering tree, a bird on a branch, and loose birds.
