About this work

Round butter dish of polychrome painted faience, with Kakiemon decoration. The dish is painted in the moffel colors blue, red, green, black, and gold with two hedges, a flowering tree, a bird on a branch, and loose birds. The dish is marked and an identical example exists with inventory number BK-1968-199-b.
