About this work

Strip of natural-colored needle lace: Alençon lace. Scatter pattern of interlocking arches on a fine hexagonal mesh ground. The pattern at the lower edge consists of a linked row of medallions on an even finer hexagonal mesh ground. In the center of each medallion is a hole with a circular cord. The upper side is edged with a bobbin lace border. Picoted lower edge with wheel picots at regular intervals.
