About this work
Strip of natural-coloured needle lace, point de gaze de Bruxelles. Repetitive motif of a lying C-scroll with five lobes on a fine ground with single twisted meshes, which is scattered with dots. In the hollow of the scroll always a little rose from which a flower branch sticks upwards. Over the midline of the strip winds a string of flowers along the pattern with the lobes. Many different decorative grounds fill the lobes, petals and spaces. The scallops along the bottom are formed by the pattern with lobes. The top side is finished with a straight edge.
