About this work

Strip of natural-coloured needle lace made or used as an insert, Brussels gauze lace. Pattern with a repetitive motif across the full width of the strip, alternating a rosette flower with an oval-shaped flower flanked by two leaves. The pattern parts are connected by several bars. Within the contours of the flowers and leaves fine mesh grounds with decorative stitches. The top and bottom edges are finished with a double straight edge with vertical bars.
