Bobbin Lace Insert for Lingerie

Insert for lingerie of natural-coloured bobbin lace, Parisian lace. Half oval-shaped. The pattern is largely symmetrical except for the diagonally placed flower at the top on the center line. From this flower long feather-shaped leaves spring, which wave like an S-scroll along the upper edge. Under both wave crests a flower bends back to the center line. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, a Parisian ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with thicker and shiny contour threads. In the flower hearts a snowflake ground is applied as ornament ground. In the scroll leaves a decoration is realized by overlapping pairs. The upper side of the strip is finished straight. The shells along the long straight side are finished with picots. Along the short sides and the shells along the curved long side runs a band in linen stitch with openwork edges.
