Lady's Handkerchief of Machine-Made Lace with Flowers and Borders of Feather-shaped Flowers

Ladies' cravat of machine-made lace: machine-made Mechelen lace. The cravat is filled with mosses and has along the edge a pattern of stretched S-shaped flower stems with a curling end and a plume-shaped flower with five pointed petals. At both ends of the cravat stands a large shell-shaped flower with above it a flower sprig with two large flowers, leaf sprigs and a tied ribbon. In the upper flower (on both sides) a decorative ground is applied. The motifs are provided with contour threads and are connected to each other by a machine-made Mechelen ground. The sides are finished with picots.
