Sash or cravat of machine-made lace with five oval panels

Sash or scarf of natural-coloured machine lace. Long rectangular model with rounded ends. The repeating pattern consists of five linked oval fields, with in each field two lying, curling twigs. Each oval field is formed by a garland of linked oval fields with rosette flowers. This garland provides an edge with semi-circular shells around the sash. On the center line of the scarf, at the link point between the oval fields, a large flower bends inward in both fields. This motif of the large flower repeats within each field once also on each long side, lying diagonally opposite each other. The curling twigs lie in the oval field and spring from a half pointed oval cartouche along the long sides. The motifs are connected to each other by a machine-made tulle ground with some mosses. In the heart of the large flowers a machine-made ornamental ground is applied, a machine-made snowflake ground.
