Cap Frill of Applied Lace with Three Single-Flowered Sprays in the Fields Between a Wavy Leafy Branch

Cap edge of natural-colored applied lace: needle lace applied on drochet ground. The pattern has medallions of various shapes and with various fillings along the edge. In the central field a wavy branch with small leaves. In the spaces between the edge and the winding branch stand three loose flower branches, always with one flower per branch. The flowers differ from each other and the flower on the middle branch is the largest. The motifs are built up from buttonhole stitches and provided with relief contours. They are connected to each other by a fine cut lattice ground, a drochet ground. The flat scalloped edge originates from the pattern with the medallions and is finished with picots. The scalloped edge continues into one rounded end. The other end is cut straight and unfinished.
