Strip of Bobbin Lace with Zigzag Scroll and Triangular Bouquet

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace, Parisian lace. The repeating and continuous pattern consists of a zigzag vine of connected openwork ovals with a fan flower and a V-shaped bouquet with three flowers. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground, a Parisian ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with thicker and shiny contour threads. As ornament ground a snowflake ground is applied in the bouquets and a coarser mesh ground in the ovals and the fan flower. Top and bottom are finished straight, where the lower side is provided with picots. The short sides are finished with a hem.
