About this work

Cloth of natural-coloured linen with the edge provided with lace embroidery: drawn thread work. The repeating pattern consists of a zigzag band with in the triangular fields above and below four open-worked blocks stacked on top of each other, three below and one in the middle on top. The zigzag band consists of a double row of open-worked blocks between two narrower lines of each triple row of finer open-worked dots. Around the cloth is finished with a scalloped arch border, with a picot on each arch.
