Strip of needle lace with a thin vine and small relief flowers

Strip of natural-coloured needle lace: Venetian rose point. Pattern with a continuous thin vine with curling branches and provided with small leaves and various small relief flowers. The motifs are made with buttonhole stitches with here and there cutouts and decorative stitches. The vines are not provided with relief contours. The only relief that has been applied consists of the cords decorated with wheel picots around the flower centers. The motifs are connected to each other by a bar ground. The straight upper side of the strip is finished with a bobbin lace strip with a pattern of crosses made with shaped stitches. The lower side is finished with a scalloped edge, with scallops that are alternately built up from three and six scallops.
