Batiste handkerchief with embroidery and a strip of machine-made lace

Handkerchief of natural-colored batiste with an insert of machine-made lace along two sides: machine-made tulle bobbin lace on machine-made tulle. The handkerchief is finished all around with a narrow border of machine-made lace. In the corner along the inserts, the handkerchief is decorated with (machine-made?) embroidery - white work with plumetis - and with inserts of tulle in openwork parts. The embroidery pattern in the corner is symmetrical and consists of two openwork leaves forming a V, between which some cup-shaped flowers rise. At the top of each openwork leaf, a branch springs with three openwork rosette flowers and plumes. The handkerchief is marked with a sewn-on cotton label, on which the number 77 is embroidered in red thread (machine-made).
