About this work
Insert of natural-colored Dutch bobbin lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of an elongated oval peony between two horizontally lying, curved leaves. The motifs are connected by a more or less round lattice ground with braided steps. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges. The top and bottom edges of the strip are finished straight. One short side is sewn together to a point and hemmed. On the other short side, this hem is left open.
