About this work
Strip of cotton with natural-colored machine-made lace: machine-made English embroidery. The pattern consists of one row of linked ovals. At the intersections is always a star-shaped flower. In the ovals stand four openwork circles. Above and below the ovals runs a continuous 'pearl border' of openwork circles. The border follows the contours of the ovals.
