About this work

Strip of natural-coloured needle lace, Venise plat. Pattern with strongly curved scrolls and simple flower and leaf forms. The strip is possibly (part of) a cap flap. Irregular spindle ground with picots. The strip is finished on one short side and two long sides with a picot border with arches. The lace is sewn onto a light pink fabric.
