About this work
Strip of natural-coloured needle lace, reticella. A repeating pattern of a square, alternating with a diamond or rosette, composed of 4x4 small squares. Along the lower edge under each large square a semicircular shell with varying filling between two bell-shaped, hanging flowers. The upper side is edged with a woven border.
