About this work
Chair of ebony. The legs with housing and joints are connected by bracket-shaped and straight stretchers. The square seat projects on three sides with a profile with egg-and-dart molding, pierced foliage around the seat. The back posts with carved foliage carry a standing lion with a shield. The three arched and scalloped stretchers are connected by balusters. The lower two show foliage and the upper lintel a carved scene of the [missing text] and three twisted vases.
