About this work
Medallion carpet, Yuruk or "Sultan". Central field: ice blue with a large cardinal purple medallion with bulges at the bottom and top; both latter filled with confetti. Border: triple. The middle is hard orange with four-part flowers in brown/beige, red, blue, purple, green, and white. The inner selvage is purple, the outer selvage light brown with equal flowers.
