About this work

Strip of natural-colored needle lace. Heraldic motif with a standing oval in the center containing two climbing lions, the right lion at a pillar. On both sides three ovals formed by mirrored flower branches. Motifs in buttonhole stitches without contours, on a sparingly applied mesh ground. Top and bottom finished with a straight edge to which small 'sticks' hang. The short sides are finished straight.
