About this work

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace: Lille lace. Under a narrow field with scattered moesjes the densely placed and repeating pattern consists of a hanging flower twig, where one large daisy-like flower always forms one shell. The motifs are connected to each other by a fine lattice ground, a tulle ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch, with thicker and shiny contour threads. A filler ground is applied, among other things in the flower hearts of the large flower. The upper side of the strip is finished straight. The shells along the underside are finished with picots.
