Strip of bobbin lace with two rows of inverted V-shaped motifs

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace: Lille lace. The upper half of the pattern consists of two rows of inverted V-shaped motifs and along the underside of oval shapes alternating with two different twigs. A staggered row of square moesjes runs between these two patterns. The motifs are connected to each other by a fine lattice ground, a tulle ground. The sparse filling is made in linen stitch, with thicker and shiny contour threads. In the ovals one kind of filler ground is applied. The upper side is finished straight. The very slightly scalloped underside is finished with picots.
