About this work
Strip of natural-coloured machine lace: machine Lille lace. Under a scattered pattern of two rows of diamond-shaped meshes the repeating pattern along the lower half of the strip consists of a zigzag band with circles. The band consists of an ornamental ground, a machine rose ground, along which contour threads run. Under each point a quarter circle is formed with a machine rose ground, with three large meshes. These quarter circles together with a contour thread and below that a strip in linen stitch form the shallow scalloped edge along the lower side of the strip. The upper side of the strip is finished straight.
