About this work

Strip of natural-colored cotton with lace embroidery: English embroidery. Scallop border with large scallops above which two staggered rows of concentric circles, built up from three ever-increasing circles and in the center a daisy. The bottom row additionally has an extra circle on the outside consisting of small daisies. The other circles are built up from openwork small and larger circles. Along the scallop border runs a continuous frame of openwork circles. Along one of the short sides a scallop strip is sewn with smaller scallops.
