Strip of appliqué lace with bouquets and triple ornamental border

Strip of natural-colored appliqué lace: bobbin lace with needle lace details applied on machine-made tulle. A repetitive motif with two different bouquets stands on a fine hexagonal mesh ground, with a scatter pattern of rings. One bouquet consists of one bell flower surrounded by nine smaller rosette flowers and long hanging leafy branches. The other bouquet consists of four large rosette flowers surrounded by branches with leaves. The three ornamental borders consist from top to bottom of: a straight band with needle lace decorative stitches, regularly cut through at intervals by a leaf with a vertical arrow of rosettes; a chain of standing rectangles; a scallop border along the underside by a linking of marguerites. Motifs cutwork in linen stitch and relief contours with widely festooned thread bundles. Various needle lace decorative stitches in cutouts, such as in the hearts of flowers and in the band. The upper side is edged with a border of bobbin lace.
