Strip of machine-made lace with rosette flower under two large oval leaves

Strip of multi-coloured machine-made lace: machine-made blonde. Black ground and natural-coloured motifs. The strip is presumably intended for or used on a bodice. The repeating pattern consists of a curved branch with two openwork flowers with a wreath of half-moon-shaped petals. The branch starts with a bend at the bottom edge of the strip and bends back with a large arch where it ends with one of the flowers. The other flower starts halfway along the branch and is directed diagonally upwards. A large openwork leaf or reserve lies under the branch along the bottom edge of the strip where it forms the scalloped edge. The motifs are connected above the flowers by a hexagonal machine-made trellis ground and below the flowers by a diamond-shaped machine-made trellis ground. In the motifs decorative grounds are applied, including a machine-made rose ground and a coarse irregular trellis ground. The top edge of the strip is finished straight.
