Strip of Machine-Made Lace with Diagonally Placed and Deeply Cut Seven-Lobed Flowers

Strip of natural-colored machine-made lace. The repeating pattern consists, slightly below the center line, of the contours of a diagonally placed flower with seven deeply cut lobes as petals. The flower sits on a curved stem with two small leaves, and originates from the straight decorative border along the lower side of the strip. This border consists of six narrow lines with a different pattern. The contours of the flowers and the flowers themselves are connected by a machine-made 'plaited ground'. Above the center line the machine-made tulle ground is decorated with four rows of diamond-shaped groups of four oval cutouts. Above these four rows are two rows with single oval cutouts. The upper side of the strip has the pattern of a decorative border with a row of snowflakes. The short sides of the strip are finished with a hem.
