About this work
Shaker, belonging to a spice service. The shaker rests on a six-lobed foot upon which a flattened nodus and a diabolus-shaped intermediate piece are stacked. Above this rises the body, shaped like a pine cone - in a slimmer version than the oil can - decorated with drop-shaped protrusions. The tall screw-off lid tapers towards the top before widening into an elongated bulbous upper part. This part is provided with round holes. The underside of the lid is decorated with vertical grooves bounded by a profiled rim. The top is crowned by a knob in the shape of a pine cone.
