About this work
Shaker, belonging to a spice service. The shaker rests on a six-lobed foot upon which a flattened nodus and a diabolus-shaped intermediate piece are stacked. Above this rises the body, shaped like a pine cone - in a slimmer version than the oil can - decorated with drop-shaped protrusions. The tall screw-off lid tapers towards the top before widening into an elongated bulbous upper part. This part is provided with diamond-shaped holes. The underside of the lid is decorated with vertical grooves bounded by a profiled rim. The top is crowned by a knob in the shape of a pine cone.
