Jupiter, Model for a High Relief in the Amsterdam Town Hall (now Royal Palace) at Dam Square

The god stands on his left leg with his right leg bent on a projecting plinth, before a flat background framed with an egg-and-dart molding. His upper body is turned slightly to the left, his gesturing head in the opposite direction. His right hand is held at shoulder height, his left downwards; in both he holds a bundle of thunderbolts. A cloth hangs from his right arm, covering his shame. Under his bent knee sits the eagle with spread wings; behind the god stands a ram facing right.
