Apollo, After a Model for a High Relief in the Amsterdam Town Hall (now Royal Palace) at Dam Square

The god stands frontally, head to the right, on his left leg with his right leg bent on a projecting plinth against a framed flat background. He reaches with his right hand over his shoulder for an arrow in the quiver hanging on his back and holds the bow in his left. The belt to which the quiver hangs runs diagonally across his chest and holds the mantle fluttering to the left, the hem of which covers his shame. On his head is a laurel wreath; at his feet are sandals. Behind him lies the python on its back and stands a lyre.
