About this work

Cast-iron fireplace plate with a semicircular top. In the center stands the coat of arms of Charles V with the Habsburg eagle and two low pillars of Hercules on each side. Scrolls are attached around these pillars with an inscription. Around the left pillar: PLUS. Around the right pillar: OULTRE. Next to the crown the year 1596. Marked next to the eagle heads with the initials SG.
