About this work

Cast-iron stove plate, divided into two zones. The upper zone depicts the Annunciation, with the angel on the left announcing Mary's pregnancy. Above the scene are several arches, under one of which stands a vase with a lily. The lower zone features a cartouche with the inscription: GABRIEL.
