About this work

Cast-iron stove plate, divided into two zones. The upper zone centrally depicts the well. To the right, Christ is seated with three standing figures behind him. To the left of the well stands the Samaritan woman holding a jug in her hands. In the background, the towers of a city are visible. At the bottom, a text band. The lower zone features a capital letter A amidst two flying angels.
