About this work
Cast-iron fireplace plate, decorated with two more or less symmetrical scrolls with pomegranate flowers. The scene is framed by an ornamental band with leaf scrolls on the sides and top. The letter I is still just visible. The whole is framed by a broad, unadorned border. The right half is missing.
